Solar power production peaks during the sunniest part of the day, which is generally between 10am and 2pm here in WA. Our Midday Saver is designed to encourage our customers who are participating in the pilot and have solar at home to shift their electricity use to the middle of the day where possible.
This is a truly ground-breaking four-year community-scale energy storage trial launched in the Alkimos Beach community, designed to prove what’s possible in wide-scale solar battery sharing and storage.
Synergy is partnering with Mirvac and Keystart to address the challenge of building a home that is not only affordable to buy, but affordable to live in.
The RENeW Nexus Plan includes a peer to peer (P2P) energy trading trial developed by Curtin University in partnership with Synergy, Western Power and Power Ledger (Trial)
PowerBank was an energy storage pilot we delivered with Western Power to explore alternative energy sources for WA's energy supply and storage solutions which could help the stability of the electricity network. We ran this pilot in three phases across 12 metropolitan and regional locations. More than 350 of our Synergy customers with existing solar PV systems participated in the PowerBank pilot to trial battery storage technology to virtually# store excess electricity generated from their solar panels.^
^ By virtual we mean there is no physical battery connected to the premises storing electricity generated. Individual customers are allocated virtual storage capacity in the battery.
This pilot allows selected Department of Community housing tenants to take advantage of rooftop solar installed on their rental property. The solar system is owned and maintained by Synergy however the tenants receive the benefits of having rooftop solar by providing more affordable electricity during the day between 9am and 3pm when solar generation is typically highest.
