Community Solar Discount Terms & Conditions

  1. The Community Solar Discount is a discount off the upfront cost of a System which is available for a limited time to a Buyer, subject to these terms and conditions (Community Solar Discount Terms and Conditions) and the SolarReturn Supply and Installation Agreement (SolarReturn Terms and Conditions).

  2. These Community Solar Discount Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction with the SolarReturn Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms in these Community Solar Discount Terms and Conditions have the same meaning as in the SolarReturn Terms and Conditions.

  3. Synergy will offer the Community Solar Discount:
    1. to persons in an Eligible Area specified by Synergy;
    2. who submit an expression of interest during the Promotional Period for a System to be supplied and Installed at the person's premises in the Eligible Area during the Installation Period; and
    3. where at least five (5) such persons in that Eligible Area submit such an expression of interest (the Community Solar Discount).

  4. The Promotional Period commences at 8.00am on 17 July 2018 and ends at 5.00pm on 13 August 2018.

  5. At Synergy's absolute discretion, the following suburbs may each be considered to be an 'Eligible Area' for the purposes of the Community Solar Discount: Adeline 6432, Boulder 6432, Broadwood 6430, Hannans 6430, Kalgoorlie 6430, Karlkurla 6430, Lamington 6430, Mullingar 6430, Piccadilly 6430, Somerville 6430, South Boulder 6432, South Kalgoorlie 6430, South Kalgoorlie 6432, Victory Heights 6430, Victory Heights 6432, West Lamington 6430.

  6. The Installation Period is a period of 14 consecutive days nominated by Synergy at its absolute discretion which will be advised to customers [if they receive an Offer specifying a Community Solar Discount]. 

  7. If the customer is eligible for a Community Solar Discount, the customer acknowledges and agrees that it will comply with all obligations to provide or procure access for the system to be installed during the Installation Period.  If for any reason, other than due to the fault of Synergy, the system is not able to be installed during the Installation Period, then Synergy may charge an additional fee to install the system outside of the Installation Period and the Buyer agrees to pay that fee.

  8. The customer acknowledges and agrees that the Community Solar Discount is able to be offered due to the economies of scale of installing multiple Systems in an area at the same time. Synergy has no control over the number of persons who purchase a System during the Promotional Period and cannot guarantee the availability of the Community Solar Discount in a particular Eligible Area.

  9. If a customer is eligible for a Community Solar Discount and receives an Offer specifying a Community Solar Discount, the customer must pay the Full Purchase Price by no later than the time specified in the Offer (unless otherwise extended by Synergy in its absolute discretion). If the Full Purchase Price is not paid by this date then the customer will not be eligible for the Community Solar Discount.

  10. In the event of an inconsistency between the SolarReturn Terms and Conditions and these Community Solar Terms and Conditions, these Community Solar Terms and Conditions prevail to the extent to any inconsistency.

These terms and conditions are governed by the law in force in Western Australia.
