Applications open for Synergy's Community Giving Fund

Synergy’s annual Community Giving Fund provides grants of up to $10,000 for Western Australian initiatives that contribute to the development of vibrant and resilient communities or help protect the environment.

Synergy’s Chief Executive Officer, David Fyfe encourages charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations to apply for a Synergy Community Giving Fund grant.

“We are committed to supporting hardworking people who enhance our community or help look after WA’s natural environment.

“Since 2022, we have distributed grants to numerous deserving programs and groups that have supported and strengthened the communities in which we operate.

“I encourage all community groups and social enterprises who have an initiative which they believe will make a difference to apply for a Synergy Community Giving Fund grant.”

In 2023, Synergy awarded grants to eight charitable organisations.

The 2023 grants helped to deliver a range of social and environmental outcomes, including assisting Trillion Trees to restore a roosting site for black cockatoos and supporting not-for-profit MAN UP to deliver mental health seminars for young men in the Wheatbelt.

MAN UP, President, Harry Foley stated that Synergy’s Community Giving Fund 2023 grant helped support regional teenagers to nurture healthy relationships.

"Our workshops helped empower high school boys with knowledge about consent, healthy relationships and healthy masculinity, enabling them to actively challenge and reject harmful behaviours.”
