What is a transport charge?

On 14 May 2024 the Economic Regulation Authority approved changes to Western Power’s transmission, distribution, and metering network charges (transport charges) that will take effect from 1 July 2024.  

From 1 July 2024, Synergy, consistent with your electricity supply contract, will be passing on changes to transport charges and this will impact how much you pay under your Synergy Business Plan and Electricity Sales Agreement (ESA) products.
