Grant program funding open to Collie community groups
Collie community groups will once again benefit from funding of up to $5,000 as part of Synergy’s 2021 Collie Small Grants Program.
An annual initiative, the program invites community-based organisations to apply for one-off grants that help support and enhance the valuable programs and services they provide to the local area.
With a focus on innovation, education and community, successful projects will be selected based on how they contribute to the growth of Collie’s social, economic and environmental strength.
General Manager Generation, Dion Paunich, said Synergy was dedicated to supporting the Collie community and this program was a prime example of that in practice.
“This year marks the third year of Synergy’s Collie Small Grants Program, and given the tough past twelve months, I am thrilled we are able to continue to support in this way,” Mr Paunich said.
“Our power stations have been part of the community for decades and it is fantastic to see our grassroots engagement have a positive impact in the area.”
Recipients of the 2020 Collie Small Grants program were:
- Coalfields Hockey Council;
- Anglicare Bridges Disability Program;
- Collie Basketball Association;
