If you are a Synergy residential customer, simply visit the Synergy Energy Hub at MIdland Gate Shopping Centre between Monday April 16, 2018 and Sunday April 29, 2018, interact with the Synergy Energy Tool and answer a question via the online form to go into the draw. 

Terms and Conditions

1. (the Competition) is a competition run by Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation (trading as Synergy) (ABN 58 673 830 106) (Synergy) on these terms and conditions (the Terms).  Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the Terms.  Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of the Terms. 
2. Subject to clause 3, entry is open to: 
a. Western Australian residents in the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) have a current Synergy residential account in their name prior to the commencement of the Competition; and 
b. who are be 18 years of age or older, (Eligible Entrants).
3. Employees and agents of Synergy, or relatives of them, and any related bodies, are not eligible to enter the Competition and if such an entry is submitted, it will not be valid.
4. Any entry submitted which does not satisfy the eligibility conditions detailed in these terms and conditions will not be valid.
5. The Competition commences 9:00am WST on Monday April 16, 2018 and entries close 5:00pm  WST Sunday April 29, 2018 and must be received by 5:00pm WST Sunday April 29, 2018, (Competition Period). 
6. An entry is deemed to be received at the time its received by Synergy and not at the time of transmission by the Eligible Entrant. 
7. To enter the Competition, Eligible Entrants must during the Competition Period:
a. Visit the Synergy Energy Hub, located at Midland Gate Shopping Centre;
b. Interact with the Synergy Energy Tool; and
c. Correctly answer a question posed while interacting with the Synergy Energy Tool; and 
d. complete the online entry form (Eligible Entry).  
8. Only one Eligible Entry will be accepted for each Eligible Entrant and the first Eligible Entry received will be considered their official entry. Incomplete, infringing, indecipherable, illegal or offensive entries will be deemed invalid and disqualified from competition entry at Synergy's sole discretion.   
9. The prize is one $100.00 credit toward the winning customer’s Synergy energy account (Prize). The prize is valued at $100.00 each. There are 5 prizes to be won and the total prize pool value is $500.   
10. Any prize must be taken "as offered" and cannot be varied, extended, transferred or exchanged for cash. 
11. If the Prize is unavailable for any reason, Synergy reserves the right to offer a substitute prize of equivalent value and you agree to accept that substitute prize.
12. There will be 5 Prizes awarded to 5 Eligible Entrants based on a random draw.  
13. The winners will be drawn at 12:01pm WST Monday 30 April, 2018 at Synergy’s office at 219 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000. The winner will be notified by email following the Prize draw.  Synergy will require appropriate contact details from the winner in order to provide the Prize.  The winner will forfeit the Prize if the winner does not respond within 24 business hours confirming they have won. 
14. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synergy’s decision regarding the prize draws, determination of Eligible Entries and winners, and the conduct of the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to any dispute or other matter arising in relation to the Competition.
15. The prize will be processed as a credit on the first bill issued after the winner has contacted Synergy.  The winner will receive bill(s) in credit until the full value of the prize has been reached.  For the avoidance of doubt, the credit cannot be redeemed for cash.   
16. If the stated prize is unavailable for any reason, Synergy reserves the right to offer a substitute prize of equivalent value.
17. Any additional products or services not included in the Prize, but required by a winner, will need to be arranged and paid for by that winner.  
18. Synergy accepts no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the Competition or the Prize, before, during or after the Competition.  
19. All entrants agree to participate and co-operate as required in editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed and providing Synergy with general information in connection with winning the prize, the promotion and the Competition, such as how it plans to spend the money it saves as a result of winning the prize, for promotional purposes.  Each winner consents to Synergy using the Eligible Entrant’s name, likeness, image and voice (including photograph, film and recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting the Competition (including any outcome), Synergy and the products or services or both supplied by Synergy.  Each winner agrees they will not, and will ensure that their companions do not sell or otherwise provide their story and photographs to any media other organisation without Synergy’s consent.  Synergy has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, including publishing this information on its website, in newsletters and on social media, including Facebook and Twitter.
20. If for any reason beyond the reasonable control of Synergy, the Competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, Synergy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:
a. disqualify any entrant; or
b. cancel, terminate, suspend or modify the Competition,
subject to the approval of the Gaming and Wagering Competition (WA) or other relevant authority (if required).
21. Synergy reserves the right to change the duration of the Competition at any time with the prior written approval of the Gaming and Wagering Commission (WA) (if required).
22. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts or modifies the rights of any person or entity as a “consumer” under the Australian Consumer Law (or any other statutory rights) to the extent the law does not allow them to be excluded, restricted or modified.
23. The information entrants provide will be used by Synergy for the purpose of and relating to conducting the Competition and otherwise in accordance with Synergy’s Privacy Policy and Collection of Information Statement (available at synergy.net.au). Without limitation, Synergy may disclose entrants’ personal information to relevant suppliers, contractors and agents for or in relation to any of those purposes and to State and Territory regulatory bodies and winners’ names may be published, as required, under the relevant legislation and as set out in the Terms. Synergy’s marketing activities are subject to the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
24. The Competition is governed by the laws of Western Australia.
