Perth Home Show SolarReturn and Battery Prize

Terms & Conditions:

1. The “Perth Home Show SolarReturn and Battery Prize” competition (the Competition) is a competition run by Synergy (ABN 58 673 830 106) on and subject to these terms and conditions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synergy’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to any dispute or other matter arising in relation to the Competition.

2. The Competition commences on Friday 3 March 2017 at 10:00am and closes at 5:00pm on Monday 6 March 2017.  
 
Eligibility

3. To be eligible to enter the Competition, you must be 18 years of age or over (if an individual) and a named Synergy account holder prior to the commencement of the Competition (Eligible Participant).

4. Employees of Synergy, and their relatives and agents, and any related bodies, are not eligible to enter the Competition.

 
The Competition

5. To enter the Competition, Eligible Participants must participate in the on stand digital solar quiz which includes completing and submit their contact details at the end of the quiz at the Synergy Stand (F14) at the Perth Home Show.

6. Each Eligible Participant may only submit one entry.  Duplicate entries will be removed.

7. The winner will be chosen at random by a Synergy representative before 5pm on Wednesday 8 March 2017 at the Synergy office at 219 St George Tce, Perth, WA, 6000.

Prize

8. Synergy will award one (1) prize to one (1) individual winner being a SolarReturn system and battery up to the value of $20,000 (GST inc.) (Prize).

9. The total prize value is $20,000 (GST inc).

10. The winner will be provided with instructions of how to claim the Prize.  The winner will forfeit the Prize if the winner does not claim the Prize within three (3) months from being notified by Synergy.

11. The Prize, including choosing the SolarReturn system, will be provided and installed in consultation with the Synergy solar team.

12. The Prize can only be installed on a property located within the South West Interconnected System.

13. The Prize can be transferred to another person who agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions as the winner. 

The winner acknowledges that if there is an existing solar system installed at the property, the Prize may not be compatible and the existing system may need to be modified or removed prior to installation of the Prize.  The cost of modification or removal of an existing system, if required, will be included in the value of the prize up to the total prize value.  Any additional costs must be paid for by the winner.  Before modifying or removing the existing solar system, the winner should carefully check the terms and conditions, including eligibility, of any rebates, credits, incentives or other benefits associated with the existing system to ensure that the modification or removal does not contravene those terms and conditions.

14. The Prize must be installed before 1 May 2018 unless otherwise agreed with Synergy.

15. The Prize, or any portion of it, cannot be varied, extended, exchanged or redeemed as credit or as cash.

16. If the stated prize is unavailable for any reason, Synergy reserves the right to offer a substitute prize of equivalent value.

17. Any additional products or services not included in the Prize, but required by a winner, will need to be arranged and paid for by that winner.

Marketing

18. The winner consents to cooperating and participating with Synergy in any media opportunities as directed by Synergy.  The winner also consents to Synergy using his or her name, suburb details and photograph, and providing Synergy with general information in connection with winning the Prize and the Competition, for promotional purposes.

19. Synergy has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, including publishing this information on its website, in newsletters and magazines and on social media, including Facebook and Twitter.

 
Miscellaneous 

20. Synergy accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or ineligible entries, applications, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft, deletion, destruction, transmission, interruption, communications failure or otherwise.  Synergy has no control over the postal system, internet, telecommunications networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise.

21. If for any reason any aspect of the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, telecommunications networks failure, bugs tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any cause beyond the control of Synergy which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, Synergy in its sole discretion may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of Gaming and Wagering Commission (WA) or other relevant authorities.

22. Synergy in its sole discretion may disqualify a winner it considers has not complied with these terms and conditions.

23. None of Synergy and its associated agencies and companies are liable to any winner or any other person in any way (including but not limited to liability for negligence) for any loss, expense, damage or injury which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any negligence) in connection with all or any of the promotion, the Competition or acceptance, transportation, delivery or use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum liability allowable by law).

24. Any queries or complaints regarding the prize and its terms of use, including any validity period within which it must be used or where it can be used, must be directed to Synergy.

25. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts or modifies the rights of any person or entity as a “consumer” under the Australian Consumer Law (or any other statutory rights) to the extent the law does not allow them to be excluded, restricted or modified.

26. All entries will be the property of Synergy. The information entrants provide will be used by Synergy for the purpose of and relating to conducting the Competition and otherwise in accordance with Synergy’s Privacy Policy and Collection of Information Statement (available at synergy.net.au). Without limitation, Synergy may disclose entrants’ personal information to relevant suppliers, contractors and agents for or in relation to any of those purposes and to State and Territory regulatory bodies and winners’ names may be published, as required, under the relevant legislation and as set out in these terms and conditions. Synergy’s marketing activities are subject to the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

27. Synergy may cancel, withdraw or change the duration of the Competition at any time.  If required, it will only do so with the prior written approval of the Gaming and Wagering Commission (WA).

28. These terms and conditions are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Western Australia.

 

Perth Home Show Door Prize

Terms and Conditions:

1. The “Perth Home Show Door Prize” competition (the Competition) is a trade promotion lottery run by Synergy (ABN 58 673 830 106) on and subject to these terms and conditions.  To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synergy’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to any dispute or other matter arising in relation to the Competition.

2. The Competition commences on Friday 3 March 2017 at 10:00am and closes at 5:00pm on Monday 6 March 2017.

Eligibility

11. The Prize can only be redeemed against a SolarReturn system that will be installed on a property located within the South West Interconnected System.

12. The Prize can be transferred to another person who agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions as the winner.

13. The Prize must be redeemed before 1 May 2018 unless otherwise agreed with Synergy.

14. The Prize cannot be varied, extended, exchanged or redeemed as credit towards any other product or service or as cash.

15. If the stated prize is unavailable for any reason, Synergy reserves the right to offer a substitute prize of equivalent value.
