The regulated tariffs are reviewed each year by the State Government and the price increases reflect the rising costs to generate and transport electricity, as well as the ongoing costs to maintain the electricity grid.

At Synergy, we do our best to minimise the costs we can control and are always working on efficiencies to supply cleaner and more sustainable energy for our customers.

We know that times are tough for many Western Australians, which is why Synergy has a range of support services available to help customers manage their energy usage and pay their bills.

For eligible customers, there are also concessions and State Government rebates available.

On 09 May 2024, the State Government announced that the DEBS buyback rate will change. The new buyback rates are:

  • Electricity net exported at peak times between 3pm and 9pm will earn 10c/kWh;
  • Electricity net exported at all other times will earn 2.00c/kWh.

These new DEBS buyback rates will be effective 1 July 2024.
